Apple has announced the winners of its 2021 App Store Awards and revealed this year’s most popular titles across the digital marketplace.
The award winners were chosen byApple’s global App Store editorial team “for delivering exceptional quality, innovative technology, creative design, and positive cultural impact”.
They include iPhone Game of the YearLeague of Legends: Wild Rift, iPad Game of the Year Marvel Future Revolution, andApple ArcadeGame of the Year Fantasian.
In terms of the most popular App Store titles this year,Among Uswas the top downloaded freeiOSgame andMinecraftwas the leading paid iOS game in both the UKand the US.
Arcade award-winner Fantasian didn’t appear in lists of the most popular games for the subscription service, which were headed by Sonic Racing in the UK and The Oregon Trail in the US.
