Call of Duty: Warzone players have unearthed a significant game exploit which allows them to invade the Gulag without dying.
The Gulag is where players go after death and allows them a chance to respawn into the main Verdansk map by winning a one-on-one gunfight using pre-defined weaponry. A new Gulag was introduced withBlack Ops Cold War integrationlast month.

However, as demonstrated by ModernWarzone, players have discovered a way of clipping into the new Gulag area without dying, which allows them to bring their own powerful, custom weaponry to spawn camp and easily kill off Gulag players.

Because the new Gulag environment is near the edge of the map, and exploit-using players are still susceptible to the gas, the glitch can presumably only be used near to the start of a match or with a conveniently placed circle.

The exploit will come as disappointing news to theWarzonecommunity, which has heavily criticised the Battle Royale game for several intrusive bugs and balance issues introduced sinceits integration with Black Ops Cold Warlast month.

The DRM 14, a tactical rifle added fromTreyarch’s premium CoD, is currently dominating the Warzone meta to the point where virtually every player is using it, thanks to its minimal recoil, devastating range and lack of sniper glare.
The weapon is deemed so overpowered that it’s caused the Warzone community to flood social media with calls forActivisionto nerf its power. OtherBlack Ops Cold Warguns including the Diamatti pistols andMAC10 SMG have also been criticised for being overpowered.

So far, Warzone’s developers have not responded to the feedback. On Monday, some users asked British prime minister Boris Johnson to intervene during a government live stream.
The DMR and Gulag exploit are the latest issues facing Warzone players since December. Previously developerRaven Softwarewas forced to fix an issuethat was allowing players to use infinite tactical items.

Some users had been abusing the exploit to infinitely heal themselves with stim packs while in the gas, virtually guaranteeing a win – an issue which also cropped up earlier in 2020before being patched out.
Raven was also forced to temporarilyremove Warzone’s new attack helicoptersto combat a glitch which allowed players to turn invisible.

Attack helicopters were introduced to the game at the start ofCold War and Warzone Season 1, which was billed as “the largest free content drop in Black Ops history”.
It includes three Operators, five weapons, eight multiplayer maps and a new Warzone map called Rebirth Island, among other features.

Warzone hasattracted over 85 million playerssince its release in March, according to Activision.
