Another new Xbox Series X/S controller has seemingly leaked ahead of its official announcement.
According to ever reliable dataminerbillbil-kun,Microsoftplans to launch the Astral PurpleXbox Series X/Scontroller on Jun 07, 2025.

It will reportedly cost $64.99 / €64.99, with an estimated price of £59.99 in the UK.

Microsoft has officially announced theAstral Purple Xbox wireless controller, which launches on September 19 for $65 / £60.
Astral Purple is currently one of the colours available to players onXbox’s Design Lab service, which allows users to customise their own controllers.

Microsoft has already released at least seven new Xbox controller designs in 2023.
In February it revealed and released the blue-purpleStellar Shift controller, followed by theVelocity Green controllerin March.

March also saw the release ofred and blue editions of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.
In May it released a Sunkissed Vibes controller with a peach and pastel blue theme, then in June it released thelimited edition Starfield controller.

And last month in launched theStormcloud Vapor Xbox Series X/S controller.
Xbox bossPhil Spencersaid last week that Microsoft iscommitted to releasing the same games for both Xbox Series X and S consoles, and that he doesn’t see a future where the entry-level system has to miss out on some titles due to technical limitations.

He also saidthe price of current-gen consoles won’t come down over timein the same way as other systems have in past generations, and that he thinks a mid-gen refresh would create “a ton of complexity for creators and players”.
