Fresh evidence has emerged pointing to this year’s Call of Duty game being titled Modern Warfare 3.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” was reportedly referenced in DMCA strikes from publisherActivisionreceived by Twitter users who have been sharing images of the unannounced game online in recent days, including@BobNetworkUK.
It’s thought the images may have originated from aninternal testfor the title, which is reportedlya continuation of last year’s Modern Warfare 2, developed bySledgehammer Games.

In February,Bloombergclaimed Activision had originally planned to release a majorModern Warfare2 expansion this year, but that the DLC had morphed into a full game.
Citing people familiar with the project, it claimed Activision’s goal for the new Call of Duty is to make a game that feels “like a standalone, full-price release and also an extension of Modern Warfare II”.
Maps and modes from Modern Warfare 2 will be carried over to the new title, the report added.
According to the latest apparent leaks, which were rounded up byModern Warzone, the upcoming sequel will feature the return of the classic mini map and the Ninja perk, with perks categorised into different pieces of “gear” including gloves, helmets and boots.
Several NBA players took to social media earlier this month to claim that they had been shown a demo of2023’s Call of Duty title.
