The critically acclaimed VR game C-Smash VRS is getting a non-VR release on PlayStation 5.

C-Smash VRSwas released forPlayStationVR2 on June 23, and is released today onMeta Quest 2, 3 and Pro.

A non-VR version of C-Smash VRS is coming to PS5 this summer

To celebrate the launch of the game on the Quest, publisherRapidEyeMovershas announced that a non-VR version will be coming to thePS5in late summer 2024.

The PS5 version will be called C-Smash VRS: New Dimension, and is available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store starting today.

Players who already own the PlayStation VR2 version of C-Smash VRS will get New Dimension as a free update when it’s released.

A reimagining ofSega‘s arcade and Dreamcast classic Cosmic Smash, C-Smash VRS is a futuristic sports game which combines squash with block-breaking games like Breakout.

The game features original music tracks by Japanese DJKen Ishii(Rez Infinite) and synthesiser player and record producer Danalogue (front man of The Comet is Coming and Soccer 96).

VGC’sreview of the PlayStation VR2 version of C-Smash VRsaid the game is “a must-buy for PSVR2 owners”.
