A new Xbox Series X/S wireless controller has seemingly leaked ahead of an official announcement.
According to ever-reliable dataminerbillbil-kun,Microsoftwill release a third controller in its ‘Vapor’ series next month.
Following the release ofStormcloud Vaporand Dream Vapor pads, Nocturnal Vapor will reportedly be released on April 9, with an official announcement and pre-orders likely to go live a week earlier.
The controller is expected to be priced at $69.99 / £64.99 / €69.99.
Microsoft launched theVapor series of Xbox Design Lab custom controllersin January, including Nocturnal Vapor, which is dark green and grey in colour.
The next evolution of theXboxcontroller could feature improved haptic feedback, an accelerometer, and a rechargeable and replaceable battery.
WhileMicrosoft’s plans may have changed,a controller codenamed Sebile leaked last Septembervia unredacted court documents published accidently, including one titled ‘Roadmap to 2030’.
It included information on Microsoft’s mid-generation console refresh, which said an ”adorably all digital”Xbox Series Xconsole codenamed ‘Brooklin’ would come with an “all-new, more immersive controller”.
During a business update in February, Xbox confirmed that Series X/S won’t be the company’s last consoles.
