An accessories maker is showcasing what it claims to be an accurate replica of Nintendo’s unannounced Switch 2 console at CES in Las Vegas.

Genki is showcasing the device behind closed doors at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week, where invited guests can hold the replica in their hands and get a feel for what it claims ‘Switch 2’ will be like to hold.

The replica model – pictured on this page – is being used to demonstrate the accessories Genki has planned for theNintendo Switchsuccessor, including controllers and a docking station, it said.

German publicationNetzweltwas able to try the Switch 2 replica, which Genki claims has the “exact dimensions” ofNintendo’s unannounced console.

According to the publication, Switch 2 feels significantly larger to hold, with Joy-Cons that are moved from the side rather than pushed in upwards (reportedly, this is due to plans for magnetic attachment).

In addition, it says the right Joy-Con controller showcased by Genki features an additional, unlabelled button compared to its predecessor.

Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company hasconfirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.

Then, last week,alleged images of Switch 2’s internal hardware componentsappeared on Reddit. If accurate, the images appear to confirm previoushardware spec rumorssuggesting that the new console will again be powered byNvidiahardware.

Supposedimages of Switch 2’s Joy-Conshave also made their way online. If authentic, they corroborate previous claims that the Switch 2 Joy-Cons will be slightly larger, and feature a magnetic connection. It’s also speculated they couldfeature mouse-like support.

Then, on Tuesday, an image of what is reportedlythe Nintendo Switch 2 dockwas published. According to the image, Switch 2 will ship with a larger 60W charger, meaning the charger for the original Nintendo Switch will not be powerful enough to use with the system while docked.
