A live-action project based on Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in the early stages of development.
According to developerCD Projekt Red, the “live-action project” will be set in the world of Cyberpunk and will be handled by indie global media company Anonymous Content.

It hasn’t been explicitly confirmed whether the project will be a movie, TV series or something else, though CD Projekt Red will be collaborating directly on the project with Garret Kemble, Anonymous Content Studios’ head of television.
Also involved in the project are director of development Ryan Schwartz and chief creative officer David Levine. In his previous role as HBO’s co-head of drama, Levine oversaw production of True Detective, Westworld and True Blood.

CD Projekt Red says the project is at “an early development stage” and a search for a screenwriter is currently ongoing. “The project will be developed in close collaboration with theCyberpunk 2077creative team,” the developer says.
This won’t be the first time the Cyberpunk universe has been retold as passive media. Anime series Cyberpunk Edgerunners was released onNetflixin September 2022 and was a huge hit for both the streaming platform andCD Projekt, which partly attributed an increase in Cyberpunk 2077 sales to the success of the show.
