A short gameplay clip of the upcoming Need for Speed title has seemingly leaked.
The work in progress footage below (viaReddit) shows a car crashing while attempting to jump through an obstacle. It also includes various visual effects which line up with previous reporting that the game will featurea photo-realistic art style mixed with anime elements.

EAconfirmed in May that next mainline game in theNeed for Speedserieswould be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
It’s now being claimed by Giant Bomb reporterJeff Grubbthat the game’s release window has been moved internally from this November to December.

“They delayed it to December, one month,” he said. “They’re going to take a few extra weeks before showing it off. It seems thatCriterionjust got sidetracked a little bit, way backwhen it was working on Battlefieldand that had a ripple effect.”
The game will reportedly be set in a fictionalised version of Chicago called Lake Shore City.
