A demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is seemingly due to be released today.

Following an announcement by Sony last week, anew State of Play presentation dedicated specifically to Final Fantasy 7is set to air today.

However, as spotted by X userWario64, it appears that a video has been appearing on thePlayStationNetwork, telling players a demo for the game is out now.

The video says “play the demo” and concludes with the message “demo available now”, even though at the time of writing there’s no demo available.

It appears, then, that the demo will be announced and subsequently released during theState of Playpresentation later today.

TheFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthState of Play takes place at 3.30pm PT / 6.30pm ET / 11.30pm GMT and will focus solely onSquare Enix‘sPS5exclusive.

The second game in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogywill be released for PS5 on Jul 17, 2025, on two discs, and will be exclusive to Sony’s consolefor a minimum of three months.

Final Fantasy 7 Remakewas released forPS4in April 2020. An upgraded version of the game,Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, arrived on PS5 in June 2021 before hittingPCsix months later.

Rebirth creative directorTetsuya Nomurapreviously confirmed where the second part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy ends.

“Although there are some changes in the order of the locations, the locations depicted in this title extend up to The Forgotten Capital, where the greatest fate of Final Fantasy VII awaits you,” he told the PlayStation Blog.
