Nintendo has released a free demo of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The demo, which is available on theSwitcheShop now, includes three levels from the game’s first world. Players will be able to try out the new Mouthful Mode, which lets Kirby inhale large real-world objects and use their properties to perform unique moves. For example, Kirby can inhale a car and use it to drive around. The demo will also let players take on the game’s first boss, and will also give them a Present Code upon completion....

Ubisoft has released a new story trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Set after the events of the first Avatar film in a never-before-seen continent of Pandora, the game sees players teaming up with different Na’vi clans to protect their homeland from the RDA corporation. “You’ll play as a child of two worlds, born Na’vi but raised by the RDA,” according toUbisoft. “Fifteen years after your abduction, you are free, and must reconnect with your lost heritage....

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has said he’s expecting an “accelerated” appeals process after the company’s merger with Microsoft was blocked by the UK competition regulator. On Wednesday, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said it waspreventing the $69 billion dealdue to concerns about its impact on the future of the cloud gaming market. MicrosoftandActivisionquickly confirmed their intention to appeal the CMA’s decision, which Kotick slammed as “irrational” and not based in fact during an interview withCNBC....

Atari and Bandai Namco have announced a series of products to celebrate Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, including a yellow Atari console. TheAtariX Namco collection is a collaboration between Atari and Bandai Namco. The main item is the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man edition, a rerelease of the iconic console in bright yellow. An award-winning documentary shot entirely within Grand Theft Auto Online is set to get a US theatrical run next year. Grand Theft Hamlet was shot during the COVID-19 lockdown and tells the story of two unemployed actors who decided to try staging a performance of Hamlet within GTA Online.
