Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said he’s “highly confident” of hitting Grand Theft Auto 6’s recently announced launch window. Updating its financial guidance last week, the company narrowed the game’s release window from calendar 2025 tothe fall/autumn of next year. During a subsequent interview withCNBC, Zelnick discussed the process of deciding product release dates, and how companies know when the time is right from a creative perspective. “There are elements that you may actually measure, for example the number of bugs in a title, and every one of us will make sure we have as few bugs as possible before we launch,” he said....

Grand Theft Auto 6 looks set to be released after March 2025, based on publisher Take-Two’s latest earnings guidance. That’s according to Wedbush Securities analysts Nick McKay and Michael Pachter, who said on Friday that the game appears to have slipped out of its once anticipated early 2025 release window. On Thursday,RockstarownerTake-Twodownwardly revised its guidance for its next fiscal year (FY25), which runs from this April to March 2025....

Tetris Effect will receive new modes on all platforms alongside its PSVR 2 release next week. The first “gameplay images” of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown are set to be revealed next week, publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing have announced. Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds 2 is Xbox’s first $80 game, it’s been confirmed. FollowingXbox’s Games Showcase on Sunday, store listings confirmed the higher price point for the RPG. A Premium Edition, which includes early access and a DLC pass, will release for $100. Microsoftannounced plans last month to raise the prices of its Xbox consoles globally, and announced that it wouldcharge $80 for games starting later this year. “We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development,” Microsoft said in a statement....
