Microsoft has announced that the Gears 5 multiplayer tech will be open to all Xbox Live Gold members this weekend, while several other games will also be free to play. TheGears 5tech test includes access to competitive game type Escalation, “new and approachable” multiplayer game type Arcade, plus King of the Hill. It also includes a new training mode called Bootcamp (shown in the video below) and a short Tour of Duty – a series of challenges for players to earn content, in this case a tech test banner and three versus weapon skins....

Halo Studios will premiere another look at the future of the franchise at its World Championship event in October, it’s suggested. A modder has claimed that Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has used some of his work without permission.
