Gearbox, its CEO Randy Pitchford and the Borderlands studio’s former lawyer Wade Callender have ended a messy legal dispute. The legal battle began in November 2018 whenGearboxfiled a lawsuit against Callender accusing him of misusing company funds for personal expenses. Callender had served as Gearbox’s general counsel and vice president of legal affairs between 2010 and August 2018. He and Pitchford were friends for over 40 years prior to the dispute....

Gearbox has announced that it’s working on a new Tales from the Borderlands game. Released in 2014 and developed by Telltale Games, the original Tales from theBorderlandsis a five-part episodic game set on Pandora between the events of Borderlands 2 andBorderlands 3. Gearboxis developing the “all new Tales from the Borderlands adventure”, which will be published by2Klater this year. The studiosaidmore details about the game will be shared this summer....

Gran Turismo 7 developer Polyphony Digital has confirmed it will rebalance the game’s in-game currency system, in response to ongoing criticism by players. VGC first reported last week that thePlayStationracer hasSony’s lowest ever user scoreon Metacritic – which at the time of writing sits at 1.5. This is likely due to a number of factors, including the amount of grinding needed to buy the game’s cars, a subsequent patch that made this grinding even longer, and a lengthy downtime period rendering the game virtually unplayable for more than a day....

Horizon Forbidden West’s first DLC expansion, Burning Shores, has been announced. The DLC, which takes place in California, will see players fight a beast that’s hidden inside the Hollywood sign. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores will be released on July 05, 2025. “Today we’re thrilled to announce Burning Shores, our expansion to Horizon Forbidden West which sees Aloy pursue a sinister threat in the untamed wilds of Los Angeles, now a treacherous volcanic archipelago,” saidMathijs de Jonge, game director atGuerrilla....

Images of an unannounced Mario-themed Nintendo Switch hardware bundle have seemingly been published online. The images below (viaReddit) show a bundle which includes the standard Switch console with red Joy-Cons and the option to download one of three Mario games (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe orSuper Mario Odyssey). The bundle also comes with a sheet of stickers for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, and it looks set to launch in the US based on the ESRB rating shown in one image....

Ubisoft’s mythological open-world adventure game Immortals Fenyx Rising is set to receive a Polynesian-themed spin-off, it’s been claimed. Eleven years after the release of Alan Wake, Remedy decided to go back to its critically acclaimed Xbox console exclusive and give it the remaster treatment. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has admitted there’s currently no end in sight to the PS5 supply issues that have frustrated fans since the console’s November 2020 launch. However, overwhelming demand for the console means PS5 won’t be readily available for some time yet....

Niantic has said that Pokémon Go Fest Los Angeles will go ahead as planned, but that it will offer all players who’d bought tickets for the event a no-questions-asked refund in the wake of last month’s fires. The opening of Konami’s Silent Hill F has leaked, via a video filmed by an attendee at an Anime Expo panel. The footage was taken during theSilent HillF panel at the Los Angeles event on Friday, and shows what appears to be the opening cut-scene of the game. According to a Reddit user, attendees were asked not to capture the footage, but one person clearly ignored the request. “I was at the event itself where no pictures or video was allowed which is why you won’t see much,”they wrote....

PlayStation’s head of internal production Connie Booth is reportedly no longer at Sony. FormerSonyemployee David Jaffe, who created theGod of Warand Twisted Metal series,tweeted on Sundaythat there was some “sad, frustrating, potentially super disrespectful news” on the way that would mean “the Sony we all came up with is mostly dead”.
