BT has apologised after it emerged that some broadband customers are being charged for Xbox Game Pass subscriptions without their knowledge. People have been complaining about the problem, which results in an extra £10 being added to monthly bills, since at least October 2023, and the issue appears to be ongoing. “We’re very sorry that the customers mentioned in this article have hadXboxGame Pass Ultimate added to their account without their knowledge,” a spokesperson told theBBC....

Square Enix has provided a development and release date update for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The second entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy wasannounced in June 2022. Capcom has announced that the closed beta for Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub will take place next month. The closed beta test will include Ranked Match, Casual Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode. Sumo Group has announced plans to lay off 15% off its employees. The Sheffield, UK-based company employs over 1,650 people across 19 studios, according to its website, meaning the cuts could impact approximately 250 team members.
