A Mario Strikers: Battle League demo has been announced for Nintendo Switch Online. TheMario Strikers: Battle League‘First Kick’ demo is available to download now, with players initially able to sample a tutorial. A Microsoft spokesperson has reportedly said the company expects Xbox Series X/S supply problems to persist until the second half of 2021. NetEase Games has announced that it will reveal a new game for consoles and PC at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Netflix has released its new Resident Evil animated series. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness revolves around a zombie outbreak at the White House. “Years after the horrors of Raccoon City, Leon and Claire find themselves consumed by a dark conspiracy when a viral attack ravages the White House”, reads the series’ description onits Netflix page. The ‘series’ is effectively a movie split into four parts, with a total runtime of 105 minutes....

New PlayStation studio Firesprite has increased its talent pool with the acquisition of fellow UK-based developer Fabrik Games. Sonyannounced inearly September that it had acquired Firesprite, a Liverpool-based developer established in 2012 by former members of SIE Studio Liverpool, after it was closed down by the platform holder. And on Wednesday, Firesprite announced it had purchased Manchester-based Fabrik, bringing the studio’s headcount to 265. Fabrik was founded by Firesprite’s MD, Graeme Ankers, in 2014, and the two studios most recently collaborated on multiplatform survival horror game The Persistence....
