The event, which runs from now until November 27, allows players a way to collect fire-typePokemonvia Wonder Picks, including Arcanine EX. It’s expected that a grass-type event starring Venausaur will begin following this event, with this Mass Outbreak serving as a way for players to collect fire-type cards ahead of it. The Pokémon Company and Wallace and Gromit studio Aardman Animation have announced Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu. The animated series, which will debut in 2027, was shown off in a brief teaser. The show will be set in the Galar region fromPokémon Sword and Shield, which is based on the UK. Prison Architect 2 has been delayed indefinitely, just one month before the game was due to be released. Sony has announced that it has increased the price of the PS5 Digital Edition again in some regions, effective immediately. The PS5 Digital Edition now costs €499.99 in Europe, up from its previous price of €449.99 (an increase of €50). Meanwhile, in the UK the console now costs £429.99, up from its previous £389.99 (an increase of £40). This is the second timeSonyhas raised the price of the PS5 Digital Edition,having previously done so in 2022....

PlayStation 5 comes in one colour scheme at launch (white and black) and Sony hasn’t said if additional colours will be available in the near future. Grand Theft Auto studio Rockstar North is seeking to fill multiple positions for work on next-gen projects. The Edinburgh, Scotland-based studio islookingto appoint an animation systems programmer to help it develop “advanced animation systems for large open world character-based games”. Publisher Raw Fury and developer Shedworks have confirmed plans to release Sable for PlayStation 5. The open-world exploration game will arrive onSony’s console later this year with new content and additional features. These will include a new fishing mini game and angler mask. Players will also be able add fish and insects to their vivarium. While this content will presumably be coming to theXboxandPCversions of the game, which were released in September 2021, thePS5version will offer exclusive DualSense controller features....

Review aggregation website Metacritic has revealed the results of its 15th annual Game Publisher Rankings. Segatopped the list, which was determined based on the quality of publishers’ releases in 2024. Sony has claimed that Microsoft’s “true strategy” behind its proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard is to have PlayStation “become like Nintendo” and not compete in the 18-rated shooter space.
