Resident Evil Village has enjoyed a strong debut on PC, comfortably smashing the series’ record for concurrent players on Steam. On Friday, theCapcomtitle debuted with a peak concurrent player count of 101,726. As noted byEurogamer, this is significantly higher thanResident Evil 2’s 74,024 peak, and over five times more thanResident Evil7’s 18,211, according toSteamCharts. On Twitch, Village has over 200,000 concurrent viewers at the time of publishing. Although we’re yet to see console sale figures, thePCperformance suggests another hit for Capcom inResident Evil’s 25thanniversary year....

Silent Hill artist Masahiro Ito is working on a new game, he’s revealed. Ito served as theKonamihorror series’ art director for its first three instalments, as well as designing many of the creatures that featured in the game. Sypro the Dragon is coming to Crash Team Rumble, as the game continues to struggle to gain traction. The game’s third season, which will be called All Fired Up, will begin on December 7 and will include Spyro as a playable character. The current second season, which is called Party Mode, adds Ripto as a new playable character. Stalker 2 developer GSC Game World has released a 90-minute documentary about completing the game during a Russian invasion. The Ukrainian studio was originally set to releasse the game in late 2022, but when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022development was put on hold. The invasion led to some of the developersrelocating to a new office in the Czech Republic, but the combination of this upheaval and Russia’s continued attack meant the game’s development continued to suffer numerous delays....

Star Wars Outlaws will soon be receiving a patch that makes its early instant fail stealth missions less frustating for players. In an interview withGamesRadar, creative directorJulian Gerightywas asked about the game’s early difficulty spike, due to numerous stealth missions that end in failure if the player is spotted. Gerighty acknowledged that player data received by the development team suggested these sections weren’t going down well, and said a fix is on the way....

Valve has revealed a new Dynamic Cloud Sync feature designed to support the upcoming Steam Deck launch. The company said it will offer seamless save file transfer when moving betweenSteamDeck and otherPCs. “We anticipate that users will frequently suspend their Steam Deck without exiting the game, as is common with other hand-held gaming devices,”Valvesaid. “With Dynamic Cloud Sync, if they then choose to play on another device (whether a PC or another Steam Deck), their progress will be there waiting for them....

HBO’s The Last of Us show will premiere in January, according to the HBO Max app. According to multiple Twitter users, and verified by VGC, the entry for the show on the HBO Max app lists the release date as June 30, 2025. A senior source with knowledge of the show’s release plans told VGC that this date is legitimate and had been posted early in error. It’s also been claimed to VGC that an official reveal is scheduled for later in the week....
