Sega has finally confirmed the full list of games coming to the Mega Drive Mini 2 and Genesis Mini 2. The final batch of announcements includes a number of brand new titles and new ports. The brand new games announced are Party Quiz Mega Q 2022 (Japan only), Party QuizSegaQ (Japan only) and Devi & Pii, which was created byTakashi Iizukajust before he joined the Sonic 3 team. Meanwhile, new Mega Drive ports of Super Locomotive, Puyo Puyo Sun and Space Harrier 2 have been added (the latter being an enhanced port with smoother scrolling)....

John Wick Hex, the strategy game created by developer Mike Bithell, will release on October 8 for PC and Mac via the Epic Games store. Bithell Games has previously said that console ports will arrive at a later date, but there was no update in Friday’s news. John Wick Hex is described as a “timeline strategy game,” with the player manoeuvring the protagonist through grids of hexagons, while queuing up moves and actions in a timeline....

Build a Rocket Boy, the studio behind MindsEye, has reportedly started the process of laying off numerous staff. According to a report atIGN, which cites studio sources speaking under anonymity, the Edinburgh-based developer has started a 45-day consultation process with staff today. In UK law, if a company is planning to make fewer than 20 employees redundant, it doesn’t have to start a consultation process. If it plans to lay off between 20 and 99 staff, it has to start a consultation period at least 30 days before any dismissals take effect....

Microsoft has launched Star Wars DLC for Minecraft based on the original movie trilogy and The Mandalorian. Priced at 1,340 Minecoins (£6.69) on theMinecraftMarketplace, it includes a map, a skin pack, a bespoke texture set, mobs and items reskins, and the official soundtrack. The DLC features content from A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian, spread across 12 different planet dioramas. Mojangstudio head Helen Chiang said in May thatMinecraft had sold more than 200 million copiesand that 126 million people were playing the game every month....

Monster Hunter Wilds is planned for release in the first quarter of 2025, it’s claimed. Insider ‘Dusk Golem’, who has a long track record of reporting information about video games before it has been made public, shared information on the game on their own Discord server (as spotted onReddit). Dusk Golem claimed to be hearing a lot of things about the game from various sources, and said that from what they were hearing, it was shaping up to be “by far the biggest game [Capcom] ever attempted”....

Nintendo has detailed two in-game events planned for Animal Crossing: New Horizons in April. Bunny Day will take place from April 1 – 12 and see character Zipper visit your island. The event will have players hunting down hidden eggs and crafting limited time items from the Egg series. Nintendo of Europe has announced plans to launch a new Switch OLED console bundle that comes with the platform’s best-selling game. Nintendo has patented some of Link’s abilities in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as well as other elements of the game. One of the Call of Duty franchise’s most iconic multiplayer maps, Shipment, was first released by accident, it’s been revealed. The tiny, hectic battleground featuring empty shipping containers has appeared in multiple series entries since its 2007 debut as one of Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare’s launch maps. But in an interview withDextero,Infinity Wardmultiplayer design director Geoff Smith said it’s inclusion in the game was “truly an accident”.
