Ubisoft has detailed a major Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update, which launches this Tuesday ahead of Season 2’s debut on March 18. AKickstarter campaignhas launched for a PC game starring a stop-motion robot. Mashina is the latest game from Talha & Jack Co, the Scottish indie studio behind the critically praised Judero. The game puts players in the role of the titular Mashina, a happy mining robot who has to find minerals “to help mend, build and nurture her quirky robot community”. Mashina has to explore various caves and dig through them to locate minerals, which she then has to store in her backpack (which has limited storage space, and has aResident Evil 4style inventory management puzzle system) then deposit them back at her underground base....

Microsoft has officially lodged its appeal against the UK antitrust regulator’s decision to block its proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In April, the Competition and Market Authority (CMA) said it was preventing the $69 billion deal due to concerns about its impact on the nascent cloud gaming market. MicrosoftandActivisionquickly confirmed their intention to appeal the CMA’s ruling, which the regulator has claimed will stop the acquisition from going ahead globally, with the formercalling it “bad for Britain”and thelatter labelling it “irrational”....

Activision has announced the launch date for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 6. A September 18 release date was revealed alongside the launch trailer and first details for Season 6.
