The Japanese release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be censored, Ubisoft has announced. A statement made on thepublisher’s Japanese X accountconfirmed that the Japanese version of the game will have some graphic content removed, despite it having a ‘Z’ rating from Japanese ratings organisation CERO. Security software company Denuvo has introduced new watermarking tech designed to identify leakers. TraceMark for Gaming is described as a “pioneering watermarking solution” which “leverages the core invisible watermark technology trusted by Hollywood studios, sports leagues, and pay-TV operators”. Capcom has reiterated its reverence for the Mega Man franchise, and said it’s continuing to consider ways to revive the classic game series. While a number of retro compilations of older Mega Man titles have been released in recent years, entirely new entries in the series are few and far between.
