The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced a 12-year agreement to host the Olympic Esports Games in Saudi Arabia. The partnership between the IOC and the Saudi NOC will see the Olympic Esports Games held regularly, the pair said in an announcement on Friday, with the inaugural event taking place in 2025. Saudi Arabia has invested heavily in eSports, most recently holding the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. “We are very fortunate to be able to work with the Saudi NOC on the Olympic Esports Games, because it has great – if not unique – expertise in the field of esports with all its stakeholders....

The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima will have trophy support, a first for PlayStation’s PC titles. Players who sign in to their PSN accounts onPCwill be able to earn Trophies. PlayStation’s policy of not releasing its first-party games on PlayStation Plus on the day of the release will continue, according to a company exec. In an interview withGame File,PlayStation‘s vice president of global services Nick Maguire was asked whether the company was considering changing its PlayStation Plus policy to match that ofXbox, where first-party releases are added to the top tier of its Game Pass service on day one. Sony has announced its PC adapter for PlayStation VR2. The announcement comes a few months after the publisher revealed it was working on making the headset – which has struggled commercially – compatible with thePC. A development build of Sony Interactive Studios and Firewalk Studios’ ill-fated Concord has been leaked online. The build, which is named FWChaos, was uploaded over the weekend and claims to be a build dated July 17, 2025. If this date is accurate, it means the build was compiled nine months before the game’s launch in August 2024. VGC has downloaded the build and can confirm it appears to be authentic....

Retro manufacturer Retro-Bit has denied claims that cartridges it provided to Limited Run are unsafe to use. Customers have been receiving their copies of Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, a previously unreleased GBA platformer by WayForward. However, a number of customers have been taking to social media, complaining that when they opened the cartridge to look at its components they found dirty chips. Bluesky user Vela Cosmos posted a photo of the insider of their cartridge, claiming “the board’s scuffed up” and it has “dirty chips”....
