Activision has announced plans to bring back a selection of multiplayer maps from last year’s Modern Warfare 2 for the upcoming sequel. At release next week,Modern Warfare 3will feature updated versions ofall 16 launch maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. It was confirmed in August that throughout its live seasons, Modern Warfare 3 will introduce over 12 all-new core 6v6 maps. The first three will arrive with the launch of Season 1 in December....

The new trademark was filed on May 9 and published on May 19 on the Japan Platform for Patent Information (as spotted byGameSpark). Nintendo has announced a new line of pastel Joy-Con controllers. The Pastel Pink/Pastel Yellow and Pastel Purple/Pastel Green sets will launch on June 30. They’ll be released on the same day as party game sequel Everybody 1-2-Switch,which was also revealed on Friday. The world of microtransactions has made its way to the car industry, as the BMW ConnectedDrive service shows. BMW has offered a number of connected features in its cars using an SD card since as far back as 2006, but the service has evolved over the years and now offers a large range of extra features that can simply be activated on the car by buying them online. This was most recently brought to light by motoring journalist Jake Groves,who noted on Twitterthis week that when he tried to activate the high beam assist on his BMW 530e, he was faced by a video game-esque message prompt telling him that he would have to purchase the feature from BMW’sConnectedDrive store....

Blizzard is adding cross-play support for Overwatch “soon”. Game director Aaron Keller explained how the upcoming feature will work in a video published on Wednesday. “You will be able to play with your friends across all of our platforms:PC,Xbox,PlayStationandNintendo Switch,” he said. “And to celebrate the launch of cross-play, we’re giving everyone a Golden loot box when the feature becomes available.” Keller also confirmed that cross-progression will not launch alongside cross-play, although he said support is planned at a later date....

Pac-Man will be the latest IP to enjoy a collaboration with Fortnite, it has been revealed.
