Lego has finally revealed the first full look at the upcoming Lego Game Boy. The Lego Game Boy will be released on October 1, cost $59.99, and will include 421 pieces. Springloaded, the developer behind Let’s Build a Zoo, has revealed its next project, Let’s Build a Dungeon. The game is a “multi-layered management sim” in which players not only run a development studio, but also manage the creation of an MMORPG. Players initially recruit and manage development staff, including artists, programmers and planners, to create new assets and game mechanics. Development schedules, ad campaigns and press relationships have to be managed, and decisions have to be made regarding game delays and sacrificing the original vision for fan requests....

Polyphony Digital has revealed what it’s billing as Gran Turismo 7’s “largest” update since the game’s release last year. As expected, the Spec II Update 1.40 willintroduce seven new carswhen it launches today at 11pm PST (November 2 at 6am GMT), plus the Lake Louise snow circuit, which includes three track layouts. A trio of Monolith Soft developers have said that using procedural asset generation made it a lot easier to make Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s vast world map. In an interview with Japanese publicationCG World, map model designer Yoichi Akizuki, support engineer Mitsuhiro Hirose and programmer Takashi Shibahara discussed the studio’s gradual inclusion of procedural generation tools in software like Houdini into its development process. Procedural asset generation lets developers create base 3D models, textures and defined rules to create an algorithm....

In a first for Netflix Games, upcoming mobile title Squid Game: Unleashed will be free for everyone at launch. The announcement was made duringThe Game Awardson Thursday, ahead of the title’s release on December 17. Palworld has received a major update, adding numerous new features. The version 0.5.0 patch is available now, and most notably adds crossplay, allowing players to interact regardless of which format they’re playing on. Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the full list of PlayStation 5 titles that will benefit from the upgraded PS5 Pro hardware, which launches this week.
